I just know that you all will be as excited as I am to hear another bit of boring news from the Southeast. LOL! Got an email this morning that shows my new saw is "out for delivery" via Fedex. I might have to move the dog away from the window, watching for squirrels so that I can take her place, anxiously watching down the road for that Fedex truck. It's a beautiful sunny day here. I hope you all are enjoying your clear and sunny 74 degrees Have a great day.

Got my saw. Works great. Just rearranged the shop and mounted it to it’s stand. I really do need more shop shop space so I don’ have to wheel these things around in order to use them. Thank goodness every thing is on wheels.

Not likely PB, but I am considering making space in the old store up in the back yard and moving the garden equipment up there so I can have at least half of the remaining stall in the garage. I need to plan out a way to make the entry doorway wide enough to accommodate the lawn tractor and other lawn and garden supplies and tools. It WOULD be nice though to have a few power tools in the living room so I could enjoy big screen tv while I work in air conditioned comfort.

www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=4287842697942018&set=pcb.4287865924606362Click on the little magnifying glass with the plus in it to enlarge the photo so you can see it better. Working on a grasshopper pull toy. The jointed rear legs go up and down as the wheels turn. Copied it from another scroll saw webpage. www.facebook.com/groups/scrollsawandwoodprojects/posts/3031663937047115As you can see It is getting crowded and I have to move the equipment around to get the piece that I need to use in a space clear enough to utilize it. Thank goodness most of the tools are on wheels so I can wheel them out of the way. I really do need to reorganize and make some space along the wall to line up the shop equipment along the wall and leave the center of the shop floor open to work with whatever pieces of equipment I using at the time. Sometimes I wheel things out into the carport to work on nice days.

Nice setup you have there, chief! What do you do for heat in the winter?

I did not think it to be so large but more room you do indeed need. What about some sort of addition to the back or to the side of the building. Best of luck as you whittle away.

Nice setup you have there, chief! What do you do for heat in the winter? I have heated it with two small portable propane heaters the last couple of years. It doesn't keep it real warm. I tried kerosene heaters and couldn't stand the smell. I am hoping to install a wood stove before this coming winter comes. I just don't work out there if it is too damned cold. If I can't work with a sweat shirt or flannel with the sleeves rolled up I don't work out there. A person has to be careful around power equipment with long sleeves. I have a friend on one of the woodworking groups that got his long sleeve shirt caught in a wood lathe and it wrapped the shirt around the spinning work piece he was working on and busted his arm all to hell to the point of having a boat load of pins and screws in his wrist and elbow to put it back together.

Yea I'm not big on kerosene heaters. They stink, give off toxic fumes & filling them is a hassle. Wood or pellet soves are a much better option. I too have am running out of room in my garage. Between a small shop that I have just to putz around in & my riding mower, snowblower, lawn & garden tools, etc. I'm running out of room. I looked into an 8x10 wood storage shed tha a friend of mine got last year. It was prebuilt & delivered & the cost was around $2600. He already had a concrete slab to set it on which I don't have. I'm sure the price has gone up since then now that the world has lost it's mind with the cost of everything going up.
