Busy day today. Who ever told someone that retirement was all about R&R was certainly misinformed.
I like to stay busy, but still doing things at my own pace without any pressing schedule. Today is one of those days when it seems I will be rushing from one thing to another from now until bed time.
1. Clean up my shop and put tools away from last evenings project 2. Take dog to the vet at noon 3. Take Kathy to Abingdon at 2:30 for her second vaccine shot 4. Meet person at 4 pm that is buying something that I am selling online 5. Cook steaks on the grill and eat supper around 5 pm 6. Shower, shave, and leave for the bowling alley at 6:15 7. Go with friends to Perkin's after bowling and arrive home at around 10:30
Nothing horribly physically taxing, but I like having a busy but leisurely day when I can move at my own pace, rest between tasks, and fall into my chair with a full belly to watch the 6 o'clock news, Wheel, and Jeopardy.
It is a bit cooler and more pleasant today. Only going to 82 degrees. Enjoy your upstate NY cool and pleasant day. I can't wait for July first to arrive so we can head that way for the first time in 3 yrs. I love it here, but make no mistake about it. I truly miss summers in the CNY and Adirondack area. If we were still living there we would be camping just about every weekend from now until labor day.
