Thanks Pizza: But don't waste your cyber time on me because I really don't care. Your posts prove nothing and frankly, once again, I am not interested in having a "cyber posting duel" with you over who is smarter, cuter, has the most provacative posts, whatever. I have moved on to more life affirming tasks, like painting, cleaning, cooking, decorating, gardening, family and friends.

What a wacky world we live in now. I just wanted to make a comment on the "rent-a-cop" issue in Walmarts. The security guards we have in our stores are just that, NY State registered guards, no more, no less. Their sole duty there is to make sure everyone has a mask, period. They have no other duties than that. If a customer doesn't want to wear one, they can do nothing about it, and neither can any of us there except for a salaried manager. Even then they can only ask, but a salaried manager can ask the customer to leave if they get nasty about it. In regards to the limitations of security guards; they can not act as peace officers and have to legal authority to do anything but stand around. They are not allowed to touch or restrain a customer. The Bronsan guards in our stores have less authority there than I do as an AP Host. Most of the ones I have seen there have the IQ of a radish, and I have no idea how they managed to complete the same courses I have had to complete.

Thank you for your clarification. I did not know that. Personally, I find Wal Marts to be quite a dangerous place to shop...and work... however it does provide a good service as a one stop shop and gives many many people a decent living, so there is a silver lining to everything. Thank you again.

I shop in WalMart occasionely, & when I do it's early a.m. I won't set foot in one after 10 unless it's an absolute neccesity. I was in the N.Utica store a few days ago about 5 pm just to wire some money to an out of town family member who needed it for an emergency & the place was a rat race. I couldn't wait to get out of there. No offence Ralph, we all have a job to do.

They have gone back to counting customers and restricting the number of shoppers allowed into the store here while funneling them in through only one door with the door at the other end of the store closed to entry. I assume that it will be one more pain in the ass about shopping there. I seldom shop at Walmart but when I do I sneak in through the tire and lube door, get what I want and exit the same way. For people using the front doors they are only allowing entry through the door on the grocery end and exit on the pharmacy end. One of my neighbors was telling me yesterday that she had to enter on the grocery end to get her prescription. She walks with a walker and it makes life just a little more miserable for her. She said by the time she walked the length of the store, stood in line at the pharmacy, and and walked back she was worn out and suffering pain in her hip that left her wondering if she could make it back to her car.
