Walgreen's and CVS are both slated to do vaccinations. That is no secret, but it will not be in all areas and won't be widely authorized for a while yet according to all I have read. I wonder if I can go on line and make an anonymous appointment with and anonymous pharmacy for an anonymous time to be revealed at a later date? LOL

Nope, not in Tennessee either. I imagine it will not become widespread until the vaccine production ramps up substantially and supplies are more readily available. Only then might government control loosen enough to allow drug stores to give the injections. I was in CVS not long ago and the technician that I dealt with told me that CVS is training techs and pharmacists to give the vaccinations but just so they will be ready. They also already have the "super freezer" in place to store Pfizer vaccine. I am sure that Walgreens and possibly Walmart are also ramping up and preparing to be ready to jump in when it becomes authorized.

Why aren't they making the vaccine available to primary care physicians? Or are they? Or will they? I'm not sure I want some pharmacy tech who just got a crash course on administering a vaccine sticking me with a needle. These people getting schooled on how to treat someone who had an allergic reaction?

CVS is being trained to administer epinephrine. I am sure there will be guidance provided and they certainly will have epi pens available.
I am with you BHU. I would rather get the vaccine from my primary care doc either my civilian doc here in Bristol , or at the VA. It would make life much easier for Kathy. She could never sit in line for 3 or 4 hours in the truck with her rods in her back and neuropathy in her feet.
