I haven't watched either, Dave. I predict they are still beating the "America bad" drum.
I keep hoping Luciano Pavarotti will return one more time to sing Nessun Dorma for the opening ceremony tomorrow night. All future Olympiads will pale in comparison to Turino, 2006. ::sigh::

I was watching the women's 26 mile race tonight and was struck by the "walls" along the streets that prevent international viewers from seeing into the neighborhoods of Beijing. So I went to Google Earth and looked in the area of Tienanmen Square and The Forbidden City. In the two photos below, compare a Beijing neighborhood and a suburban neighborhood near Albany. The photos are the same scale, that is "taken" from the same height. I did a similar comparison of the same Albany suburb and Hanoi last fall at: www.windsweptpress.com/comparison.pdf

They sure know how to pack 'em tight in Beijing.

Yup, and I'm thinking that may be the reason all the women are flat chested. But then again, my powers of logic are sometimes faulty.
