Yum! I just had a tomato sandwich on light rye bread, slathered with Hellman's mayo. The plum tomatoes are heavy on the plants and are all coming at the same time. Kathy is not going to can any quite yet so she is going to whiz some up in the blender, make sauce and we will freeze it. If she cans much this year with tomatoes we can buy them for $12 a box fresh from the farm.
Picked another batch of bell peppers last night. Stuffed peppers for din din tonight. I have to see when cherry peppers are considered ripe for picking. I have a few red ones but most are still dark green. I never grew them before so I don't know how to tell if they are ready or not. When we eventually pick a batch of those Kathy is going to make a batch of chicken riggies.

I love a fresh tomato ripe from the garden. One forgets the actual taste of a tomato after eating so many from grocery store. My peach tonight with yogurt was excellent. When I buy one it takes almost a week to ripen. I have to bring a ripe peach back to the store and weigh it against one of equal size while in the concrete state. Has to be a difference in weight. I am sure I am getting ripped off. I'll have to call Brindisi.
