I see Ford Fiesta was on the list. Well, we lucked out. When the wife needed another car a couple years ag o we test drove 2 of those. One was at a dealership in Rome. I took it for a test drive & right off the bat I could tell something wasen't right with the tranny & how it shifted. And it didn't have a lot of miles. I passed on it. The other one was at a dealer in Syracuse & I saw it offered online. I test drove it & the car ran great & was in great condition but they refused to move off the asking price so I walked out without making a deal & told the salesman to shove it & thanks for insulting a return customer because that's who I bought my Frontier from. I should have thanked him later because after doing some research I learned that those cars are a nightmare to own because of the transmissions. PB, don't even think about buying one.

I drove Ford cars and trucks for years but had a lemon pick up in late 80's and switched to a chevy 1500. That had all sorts of electrical issues so when I hit a deer I dumped it and bought another Ford. My last Ford was in 97. I bought my first Dodge 1500 in 05, another in 2010 and now I have a 2016. I will continue to buy Ram pickups. If we buy another sedan or minivan it will be either a Honda or a Toyota. If you can find a decent Honda Civic those things run forever.

I was a Ford, Chevy or Dodge guy for most of my life. Barb has been very happy with her Nissan Altimas. When she wanted to trade in her first we went to the Nissan dealership and they had the exact model and color, previous model year on clearance. It was a done deal at that point.
When I decided to replace my minivan, I had been driving them since 1984, sorry BHU, they had a Murano, former rental, on the lot. I don't have a problem with cars which were owned by rental companies. They have frequent oil changes and are washed and cleaned frequently. The cars I buy are not popular with people who beat their cars. They are driven by people who fly into a city, go to a meeting, back to the hotel and home the next day. The Murano still had receipts from the Cleveland airport in the glove box. I expect it will outlast me.
