Seems there were more built here earlier than that. My house was built in 1873 and the house down the street was built a few years earlier than that.

No doubt, Ralph. I was told by an old timer than "many, many" houses on Cornhill were built to accommodate workers attracted to factories that started up for the first world war. Having lived in a few of them as a kid on Cornhill, I can say that even in the same block, it was obvious (especially in the cellars) that some were far older than others.
I looked at yours when you posted the description on the Internet. It looks smaller than those to the east of you. Through the 1600 blocks, at least, the houses appear to get larger and newer as one moves past Miller to Brinckerhoff and Taylor. At Conkling, the homes seemed older again, before the "flats" almost end at Blessed Sacrament church above (south of) James, but continue down St. Vincent and Mohawk.
