... but smoking pot can lead to smoking crack in some parts of urban City blight. Hell, even in the most unlikely places! Yup, pot is a gateway drug, but dependent on many factors. Alcohol, too, given the circumstances. I don't know of any medical or clinical evidence of that. I think it's all statistical. But for a kid, I wouldn't take the chance if I could prevent his or her use. That's because just about every drug imaginable is available where kids hang out. Now, let's see ... where do kids spend 10 months a year, five days a week, 6 hours a day ... |

Of course, the Libertarian in me believes that cities should provide free cocaine, crack and heroin to all who want it. City crews could refill buckets of the pure substances left at street corners each morning. Within months, the drug problem would simply go away.

At least the stealing for $$ to buy drugs would. And therefore the prosttution, pimping, etc. Nah, it would never work. People would be too happy all the time & we can't have that now, can we? |

Sorry, but the same liberal mentality that would go along with unlimited drug use would also scream bloody murder when they start dropping in the front yards. "The ugly conservatives don't give a rats ass that my baby OD'd"!!!!!! So we provide free drugs AND free medical and burials, huh?
