Well Larry after watching the video I must say; are you sure you're a democrat? I thought Mike Hennessey was the always in the wrong party too, especially when he got the conservative endorsement once. I think it was when he ran for County Exec. I brag he's the last Dem. I voted for. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Ralph, and thanks Larry for being so observant.
Larry I misspoke a bit when I cautioned talking on the "Edge laundering money?" thread, I didn't realize that you were pointing out how another leg had brought it up.
I note that you wanted to know more about the waterboard conundrum and believe me there's a couple people right on this board that can definitely help you at length.
I bet if you wrote strikeslip and email he'd be willing to speak with you. The whole thing is very convoluted and "specialized" but he always seemed to be well beyond grasping all the details and how they all play on other issues.
You're on the right track, and I'd start there. I also suspect [sorry if I'm mistaken] maybe Ralph or Clipper have details.
Last, let me tell you that your videos there are pretty interesting, actually. I know that that takes some time but please keep that up. It is EXTREMELY revealing about some of the people there. It's dissappointing that at our first look I see people who look very disappointing. Like a backwater school-board or something. [Don't comment on that!]
Keep going, more and more people are seeing what you are doing. Don't grandstand or take on too much too quick, but keep up the forward pace.
Also, Ralph, I noted you said you had run for office somewhere in the past and run into the ol' boy network or something. If that's your picture there you're not too old at all to consider another try? I agree with 97% of what you have ever said here, and wonder if it could be the "right time" to try again. Remember, you are an "internet" available person, and it really is a new age in reaching people.
The "ol' boy network' looks like they're showing some cracks guys.

Wilum, that's a great question, lol. The problem around here is that there is no real difference between Democrat and Republican (when you get to the people with actual control). It's more of a culture that has done things a certain way and just won't change. I hate to say this, but I seriously question whether they even want to see the area turn around. I think they are having a feast eating off of our plight. Sad but true. I am a Democrat, but I consider myself rather fiscally Conservative and a Jefferson Democrat.
Boomer, thanks for the comments about the videos. They aren't very popular at the County Building, lol. But I wanted to see if I did this, if people would actually take an interest. They know that no one goes to the meetings, and reporting on county news in rather scarce, so they figure they could get away with whatever they want. Well, it is a new age, and hopefully more people will watch and get the message.
I have another one going up tonight that has my speech about the "Utica" Boilermaker, EDGE and the RFP process. I'll post it when it is up.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the RFP process?

I am pretty sure, if I remember correctly, RFP stands for Request For Proposals. Kind of like a solicitation for bids or whatever. I could be wrong, so we will wait for Larry to clarify.

Today I had a resolution defeated in committee which simply called for EDGE to give the Board of Legislators written financial reports every six months and a cost-benefit analysis of what the taxpayers return is on their money. I tried computing that cost-benefit ratio myself and kept getting a "DIVIDE-BY-ZERO" error.

You're right Clipper, RFP's are Requests for Proposals (bids, etc.)
