I am encouraged by the statement that it does not appear to be a chain restaurant.
Maybe it will be owned by a local family and will be on a level with the old Hook Line and Sinker, which was always one of my favorite sources for surf and turf. It was the location of many birthday, mother's day, and valentines day dinners over the years. I always like their salad bar that was in a rowboat. It was not super fancy or super expensive. Just a nice place with excellent food. I miss the place. Isn't there a donut shop or something there now?
