It is funny that we are still losing population yet only two legislators (Myself and Rick Flisnik, R-Marcy) out of 29 want to reduce the size of the legislature. Met with Rick one evening and we chatted for a time. Good to have as a rep.

My county legislator is Gerry Fiorini. He has a great sense of civic duty for which I admire him but he embodies inertia in county government.

I agree with Larry's stement, " I can also tell you that more public officials read these forums than you may think."
When the UAD board was in its heyday (hayday?) we were actually discussed in political circles & had many politicians join us there. These things are read alright.

wilum47, Rick is a good guy. He definately questions a lot of spending and is a fiscal conservative. When I called for term-limits, he was the only legislator (Democrat and Republican) that responded and he agreed. I break 'em on him once in a while, but that's just me having fun. The problem is that when anything important or controversial comes up, they ALL line up and go along with the "bosses."
Frank, Gerry is actually a cool guy. He does a ot of work in the community and I have a soft spot for his love of baseball. He would be a great guy to hang out with and watch a game. However, he is part of that old guard culture that continues to perpetuate doing the same things over and over expecting a different result.
Stoney, it's nice to see you again. You're right, UAD was the talk of the town for quite some time. We had a lot of fun. I haven't been there in a while since being booted, but hey, I probably deserved it, lol. I hope all is well and tell everyone over there I send my best.

It's open to the public now, Larry. People can join as they please~~no registration needed. Just "Boop" & you're in. I realize now what killed us off so badly, but would rather not discuss it over the cyber-waves. However, it may re-grow again (just like a fungus...HA!).
