DArden Restraunt chain, free appetizers

We recently went to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner. I have found a coupon for a free appetizer that can be printed or shown to the waitress on your phone. If you sign up you get email coupons for freebies at many of their various restaurants. Today we got an email offering free a free chips and queso appetizer at Cheddars. Darden owns several popular restaurant chains. It is well worth checking into. We received a huge order of onion petals and dipping sauce at Longhorn. It was listed on the menu for 8 or 9 bucks.

I don't know how many Darden restaurants are in the Utica area, but here is a list of the chains that they operate.

They also used to own Red Lobster restaurants around here as well as the Smokey Bones BBQ restaurants, but must have divested those chains. I don't see them listed.

The only one I see on the list in our area is Olive Garden which has never been my first choice. Next month we are going to Michigan for a visit and I know that the Lansing area has both an Olive Garden and a Smokey Bones.

It looks like that promo may have ended. I will need to check back before we go. It's usually my wife and daughter who compete to find restaurant coupons on their phones.

Some of the offers are a good deal and others not so much. Olive Garden is offering a 10% discount coupon on the app, but when I called I was told that they would not honor the coupon AND the normal 10% senior discount. Being old nullifies the other coupon, haha.
