Police investigating dead body found in Utica UTICA, NY - Utica city police are investigating a dead body found behind a home in the 400 block of Kossuth Avenue in Utica Saturday afternoon, police said. Police said the deceased male was found at 2:30 p.m. The Onondaga Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted, and is conducting an autopsy to assist police in determining a cause of death, police said. Police said Sunday morning they expect to have more information Monday or Tuesday when a preliminary report on the cause of death is released. www.syracuse.com/crime/2019/04/police-investigating-dead-body-found-in-utica.htmlI think he died so it might not be the guy with cancer of the face. He had nothing and nobody. Maybe it was someone without funeral insurance who went to die where someone would eventually find him It might be a drug addict who overdosed. Or a murder!

In that area anything is possible. Back in the day East Utica was a great area to raise a family & grow up in. Sadly, no more. It's a damn shame what drugs have done to this city. In the past 10 years or so a good portion of East Utica has been taken over by drug peddlers, addicts & lowlife trash.

That has to be fairly close to the fish market. We used to go to the Kossuth Fish Market to buy fish fries to go and other seafood. At least once every summer I would buy a bag of clams for a family picnic.

BSU how right you are. Eventually most of that area will be the out patient wing of Rescue Mission half way house and Drug Treatment Facility. Right now I have noticed a newer migration and that is into North Utica. I call that the next Cornhill. Just watch.
