Just checking. Do you have to set an alarm to "wake up" your laptop, or does it roll over and stretch in preparation for a day all by itself. My ipad is charging in anticipation of a busy day. I have to be at the VA at 1pm, and then I have to take my friend John to a doctors appointment, to the grocery store, and pharmacy. I will sit in the truck and watch something on Netflix while I wait for him. I am going back to the MOVE program for weight loss at the VA. I did so well, and then I went back to my old eating habits and have gained a lot of the weight back. That program offers incentive in that you weigh in weekly and there is a rather pleasant group session where dieticians offer advice and education along with recipes for healthy eating. I am a undoubtedly a compulsive eater. Kathy is great cook and I also find myself nibbling incessantly throughout the day and evening. Spring is coming and I need to be in shape to be able to tolerate and enjoy my outside work and recreational activity.

Well now figure this out. I left it on sleep from 5PM to 8PM since I asked about this. Last night I opened my document file and holy cow all my files are gone. I had pictures I saved and some pithy sayings I like and everything is gone. Even the 5 books I downloaded to eventual read on my MP3 player were gone. I am confused.
I have to shake my laptop to wake it up but I think now it has shaken baby syndrome.

Now I am looking at a bunch of suggestions.
The first was "duh" obvious and I didn't think of it. Check the "Recycle" bin.

What do ya know. They were hidden in the bowels of the computer. I got back the books I downloaded. I will look for the rest tomorrow so many files. WOW. Thank you, CB

Those mysterious gnomes who live inside our computers come out at night and move stuff. I hate it when that happens. I often find the icons on my desktop moved while I sleep.
