Ok National Grid just lowered our bill I'm confused as to why they would do that, If they are going to raise prices. I'm confused! Clipper I'm glad that your father is doing well. My grandmother had congested heart failure, she passed away with no suffering and rather quickly at the age of 86. I miss her everyday, She passed away last year. Also I will pray for "our friend"

Lucy, if you're on a budget for the year then they might have given you an adjustment. Other then that, mine went down a few dollars because I've had my heat off most of the time, but it will rise again as soon as we need the air conditioning on.

Poor babies! My fuel oil cost per gallon has gone up almost DOUBLE since this time last year. If my heating bill went up $135, I'd be quite happy. Instead, it's closer to a $2,000 increase. Wish I were on natural gas!

I am indeed on the budget plan, but I expect it to increase around the holiday time. It just seems to be a pattern with national grid. I miss NYMO. Whenever my pilot light would go out I would give them a call someone would come to the house and light it up. When everything changed to National Grid they told me that they were no longer providing that service. Eversince then I hated them. I pay all this money and they can't provide us with any service?

When I lived in Syracuse some years ago, I called NiMo for information on what turned out to be an unusual furnace that was installed in my house. They sent over their expert trainer to give me tips and explain the whole system. He took the afternoon, had coffee with us and was very helpful. Those days are gone.

I agree Dave those days are gone, and its sad that we will never have that customer service again. Even the guy that worked for Nimo was upset about it. I asked him about the senior citizens that live alone what will they do, and he said I guess call a friend. You know that is very sad. He wasn't happy about it one bit.
