I occasionally run into a problem like that with Netflix. It usually turns out that it is something like it's registered on a computer, a phone, a tablet, a chromecast, an old phone, an old tablet and some other device that I tried once and forgot about. There is usually a method of unregistering old devices but figuring out how to display the list and which device is which can be tricky. If you can get to customer service perhaps start by asking how you can cancel your subscription. That may get you transferred to someone who knows something.

I learned a couple of Win 10 tricks yesterday. If you right click on an empty area of the task bar, one of the options displayed is "Show touch keyboard button." If you select that a keyboard icon displays on your task bar. This has some useful or fun features even if you don't have a touchscreen and are using a regular keyboard. If you like to use emojis there is a huge selection available.
The other trick can be useful if you know you are going to be using a computer for an extended period of time without a power source, like on an airplane flight. Win 10 normally gives you the option of going into "power saver" mode when your battery has 20% remaining capacity. If you right click on the battery icon on the task bar it will bring up power management options including going into power saver mode immediately.

got my iTunes figured and authorized for the this PC. I never got an detailed list of my purchase and its not on line in my account either. Nothing comes up for cust # or order # or any other number on the email from Dell with my purchase. I bought Adobe and photoshop elements but haven't a clue if its on here or they didn't install them all I know is I paid for them. Found a good tutorial for Win 10 on youtube created by JAG. It's long so when I have some time I will have to revisit and study it. I don't like sitting at the PC real long. (im getting old)

Today I learned how to remove the password for logging on to desktop without one. I added it in setup causeMicrosoft prompted me to but I don't need one. I am the only person here that uses my PC. Slowly but surely I'm going to take one issue at a time to learn. Today my Adobe and Photoshop was waiting to download when I rebooted the computer. I guess that's why it's a good idea to turn off the PC so the updates can install. Going to the library later to see if there is a book for Windows 10 Dummies.

Same with me, Alan. I just bought a new ASUS laptop that has Windows 10 and it asks for my password every time it boots up, which is every morning. It's a pain in the 'sit-down'.
Will someone please explain how I can get rid of having to put in the password at start-up?

When my pc goes to sleep and I log on it still asks for a password. right click on start, select Run, type control userpassword2 and enter. brings you to User Accounts uncheck the box and click apply. I then restarted my computer and didn't have to enter password but like I said after it goes to sleep and I have to turn the pc on it makes me enter the password. If I fix it I'll let you know further. My Dell tech told me I couldn't don' see why not. In Google I have found several directions to undo. This was the simplest one. If you go on Youtube there are several videos for this also. I am gathering questions before I call back my Dell Tech so will see if he can do away with it. If not I am going to write Ask Nick for help. He is a local tech guru at RIT has his own column and radio show and column in Thursday paper. Fingers crossed. PS make sure there is a space between control and userpassword2

I tried to catch what he was doing but it was so fast and done somewhere in the system (screen was black) I asked him later if he could tell me what to do but he said it was a bit complicated and he would be happy to assist if you call him. I told him I don't know if you have a Dell. He said for you to call your technician as they can do it for you. Sorry.

Hi Chris,
Sometimes I'm like a bad cold... when you least expect it, there I am ;o)
Yes, I'd like to get rid of having to enter a password every time my computer boots up, but don't know how to chnge it. It was easy with Windows 7 but I'm not too fluent in Windows 10, although I like some of the other features.
Nice to hear from you. (By the way, who's your friend on Facebook?)

I have a Toshiba and I bet the techs all speak Chinese or Japanese.
