I remember my cousin Fred Faccioli telling me about getting the Mosrite guitar deal (seen in the last Chessmen photo) He said they gave him a 12 string because they did not make an organ. My Dad took me to Chadwicks to see them rehearse and it changed my life forever !!! Is Freddy on this thread yet ??

No, Freddie has not made the Computer scene yet. I'm having coffee with him today. I'll mention the Mosrite thing to him. He also has acopy of the Eric & The Chessmen picture jumping taken at the Oriskany Monument.

Chuck here - I paid $289.95 for my 64 Strat and $59.95 for the hard-shell case. What a deal - huh! The single keyboard Farfisa was like $500. and the dual compac was somewhere around $1000. The Leslie 145 was around $400.
KIT - I'll be here. Looking forward to your updates when you are back on line.
GENERAL: Eric and Dale and I have been conversing since we found each other again two weeks ago. I suggested to Eric that we conspire to write a formal history of the Chessmen from day one when Eric dreamed it all up. He likes the idea and since I did documentation and writing most of my engineering career, I volunteered to do the manuscript. It'll take some time but I think it might be worth it. I remember how it felt to be part of the Chessmen for a year and a half and there are lot's of things that I learned and confidence that I built up in those days that was directly attributable to the band experience. That served me very well over the past 40 years in my management career and I would like to be able to pass some of that lessons learned on to others. If it turns out good, we may try to publish it. I got some contacts that can probably help.
I take a fond interest in young people and I love to help them succeed, focus on education and work ethic, and stay away form booze and drugs. I've seen allot in my life and I really love to help kids that are having difficulty finding their spot in the world. It's hard when your 18 or 20 to realize that this world is big enough for us all if we cut ourselves and others half an honest break.
I mentioned earlier that I took up the guitar again after 40 years and a seriously considering a keyboard too. NO - I am not going tot try to be some late blooming rock and roll star - that dream is long since past. Heck - I can barely see in the limelight without glasses and my knees won't work too well anymore. However, I deliberately put myself through all sorts of pain when Mary and I find a good DJ or band to dance to - we love swing and disco. Anyway, I told Jon I've been practicing and actually it's all coming back. I am actually doing pretty well with it.
Funny though, I find myself getting into the musicology and science of the scales, intonations, progressions and inversions now whereas at 18 to 21 it was all by ear and who cared about the technicalities. My piano teacher (from age 6 to 14) is probably rolling in his grave with delayed anger at me.
So, I'm into the odd-ball chords (4ths, add-2s, flat 9th/5th, and some stuff that probably has no name at all. I seem to be developing a better techniques now than int eh 60s. My buddy John (the Fender collector) says "Man - you really gotta start giggin again!" If he surprises me some night by calling me to the stage at one of his gigs, I'm gonna croak! It's not that I am worried about crowds - heck, I've briefed undersecretaries of the Defense, State, etc. - no problem. But I'll drive everyone to leave for sure. That's embarrassing.
JON - Did Eric send you the pictures of his guitars? He has the original Jaguar that was in the accident. It's beat up for sure. He says he has some of the parts for it though. I asked him if he still plays - no answer yet. I think he is so deep into audio engineering that he does not have time. Funny how a career can get in the way of life.
REGARDING THE ROGUES: 1966 - (post E and the C) - myself on organ, Jon on Base (followed by Joey Jachelli (sp?), Tom D(?) on guitar followed by Frank Roberts, and Dom Tagliferri on drums. Jon gave me a lead on Dom in FL. I called and sure enough it's him. He is retired and they winter in FL - snowbirds. He left yesterday (Wed) for Rome where they live in the summer. He'll answer when he arrives and gets back on line.
Well - off to dinner and some more work on the bathroom remodeling - Oh Joy!
