There are still a few Sail CD's around with Vinnie's songs on them. I'll see if Vin has any laying around. Every once and awhile Vinny gets a royalty check from Japan. It appears that "Give Me One More Chance" is on the Teckno Club play list in that part of the world.

Hey Stoney, do you have any of the old flyers or posters from "Major Dilemma". All I have left is a poster that is hanging on my wall here in my office....

Hey Jon - Since we linked up with Eric, you have been busy - great pix. Dale told me the other day that Eric has a bunch of photos of Eric and the Chessmen. I could not remember the name of the venue but I recognized the stage in the latest photos you posted. Saranac Lake - that was a great gig. First time we played that gig, there was a snow storm in the Utica and lower Adirondacks and we were two hours late getting to the gig. It appeared we were in deep crap but as I remember, the second night the word was out and the place was over loaded. All sins forgiven and the owner was pleased as could be. Rumor had it his bar was selling dry. Nice problem to have. We had a ball there and were back a couple of times afterward - always to a good crowd.
You mentioned that my posting of the other day failed to post. I probably screwed up on the posting methodology. We'll try again here.
Message for Kit: Kit - I remember you from Oxford Road. Yup - Kathy and I got married in 68, had a couple of kids (now all grown and have families of their own) - Matt is a Southwest airline pilot based out of Phoenix and Cara is in Social Work in San Diego. Kathy and I are no longer together. I remarried in 1995 and Mary and I planning to move to west coast of FL and build a new retirement home within the next year. I retired end of 07 and Mary will be retiring in another year. I picked up the guitar again after a 42 year layoff. Surprisingly, it is all coming back to me but I really have to practice to build up my speed and fret board agility. I find I am deeper into the science and music theory of it now than I was when I was young and "knew it all". It is a real pleasure to play now - I am learning licks and progressions so much easier than I did previously. Guess my whole attitude on the musicology has changed allot. Age has a way of doing that for us, I guess.
I finally linked up with Eric and Dale as a s result of finding Eric. Got him in touch with Jon and Jon has now received allot more photos and information about the Chessmen from the Grand Master himself. WOW - What memories. I wonder what we would sound like today if we got together. Something tells me we could pick up where we left off - perhaps at a bit slower beat and with a few mistakes but we were perfectionists then and I expect we all still are.
Anyway - my apologies for not responding earlier to your welcome to Clipper's Corner. I'm only four months or so late - not bad for a 63 year old with bad knees, fuzzy eyesight, and probably a bit of dementia thrown in just to give me an excuse for being nuts.
Take care guys - Good Job Jon - Pictures are neat - get some sleep - it was after 11 PM when you posted the last bunch.

It dawned on me when looking at the photos of us playing the Lake Shore and the Saranac Inn that at the Lake Shore I still had the single keyboard Farfisa pumped through a Fender (Bandmaster - I think). At the Saranac Inn I had the Dual Compac Farfisa and the Leslie 145 (what a sound). The first gig we did after I got the Leslie and dual compact was the Little Brown Jug in Syracuse. We were doing the gig at 9 pm and at 6 pm a technician was finishing some creative wiring to get the Farfisa output to match the input on the Leslie at my house in New Hartford. Eric and I were fidgeting about wondering if we were ever going to get the equipment packed up into the hearse and out of there so we could get on the road for the Jug. All worked fine and I remember that Eric went crazy over the sound of the dual compact through the Leslie. We were all amazed. Closest we ever got to an authentic B-3 sound. Man, there is nothing like a B-3 but that combo came real close with certain settings. I can still see the stop settings in my head.
Speaking of the combo, I just got rid of that thing about a year ago. I held on to it for years thinking I would rebuild it (it was pretty road worn). Turn out there are no ready sources for parts and the cost of refurbishment would be prohibitive except to a collector. So, it went to the junk pile along with the Leslie which was in very rough shape. One big mistake though is that I should have kept that huge 15" speaker for an auxiliary speaker cabinet. But, that was before I decided to get back into the guitar so what did I know. Had Eric and I been in touch, he said he would have taken it. Oh well, timing is everything in life. Besides with todays keyboards, for a pittance I cold get that sound and many more. I might get a keyboard at some point - we'll see. Chuck
