I certainly remember that theme. When Patrick McGoohan starred in the television show Secret Agent on Saturday nights in 1965 and 66, it was about the only entertainment 2 newlyweds could afford as we sat in our trailer home practically in the middle of West Genesee Street in Fairmont on the west side of Syracuse. In any case, balancing my studies, a 35 mile commute and 2 part time jobs, I didn't have much time to spend money anyways. Well, of course, it wasn't our ONLY entertainment. Where I got the energy at that age I'll never know. Up at 5:00, meet car pool at 6:30 in Liverpool, classes starting at 8:00, back to the Daws drug store by 6, out at 9 pm or so, get up and do it again every day, Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays I put in 8 to 10 hours each day installing engineering changes on main frame computers. I studied from 10 to midnight seven days each week, but did most of my study and writing work in between classes during the day. For some reason I convinced myself I was on a diet rather than admit I had no money for lunch. Hahaha!

Then there was the follow on series The Prisoner I remember watching The Prisoner a few times, but it must have been a very few because the opening sequence doesn't look at all familiar. I remember it was a novel show, with much symbolism, but it wasn't much fun, like Secret Agent or Man From U.N.C.L.E. or I Spy, which I think came a bit later. Fun was what I sought from TV at the time, a break from what I remember was a heavy load.

The Prisoner ran just one season, during a time when I couldn't watch much TV.I don't think I've ever watched the complete series. I Spy ran from 1965-68.
