The ones that got caught, such as Dahmer, are the ones that made a mistake......and all it takes is one.
It's the ones we don't know about, the ones that haven't made a mistake, are the ones that we will always worry about.
And make no mistake.....they are out there.

It's the ones we don't know about, the ones that haven't made a mistake, are the ones that we will always worry about. And make no mistake.....they are out there. Dahmer ended up making mistakes because he started losing control over what drove him to these crimes. The obsession become overwhelming. Same with Gacy. Once the pressure was on him, he wasn't as careful has he had been before. The scary thing is there are people out there disciplined enough to stay under the radar and not make mistakes, or relatively few that nobody connects the dots. Very scary. There is a show on Showtime called "Dexter" that I love to watch. Dexter is a blood spatter analyst in Florida. but he is also a serial killer who meticulously and methodically hunts other serial killers. Yes, for entertainment purposes, but gives some incite as to some of the thinking to conceal these crimes. A grim irony however, is how society is fascinated with serial killers. Its like rubbernecking at a car wreck. You know its going to be gruesome but you just can't help to look anyway.
