Nice to meet you, Denise. Although she is from Watertown, my wife and I met in NY City in 1964. (I'm originally from Utica.) I have never let her get away But I do remember being tempted to leave her up there a few times so I wouldn't have to make any more winter trips up either Route 12 or up I 81 from Syracuse or Endicott. In the sixties, it was common for the roads to close and travelers were put up in a school gymnasium overnight or a grocery store. People even opened their homes to families stranded by the snow, something no one would do today, probably. Friends of ours visiting from Watertown left Syracuse one snowy Sunday evening in 1966 and got as far as Brewerton, where traffic came to a stop on both 81 and route 11. They were taken to a high school gym and an hour later an older couple came down to the school looking to help. They took our friends home with them and exchanged Christmas Cards for a number years.

Nice to meet you too, Dave. I would hope that people along that lake effect corridor would continue to be helpful and neighborly as the snow can still come down very hard and fast when it wants to! We don't get that much snow in Watertown; the snow band is usually going right underneath us, but it still makes us snowbound. I haven't been to Utica since before Christmas!

Hi Denise, I'm not too far away from you in Constable N.Y. The border is just right down the road from me. About two miles. Yep, we don't get too much snow but it's freakin cold here. Going to Utica to me is like going to Florida. I travel to Utica at least twice a month and in the last two years have had no problem with the weather while traveling. It's been great. Nice to meet you neighbor. After the general election- Hillary who? Wonder if she'll remain in New York State after that.

If Hillary doesn't get her party nomination or if she does but loses the presidential race, I predict she'll finish out her term as NYS Senator and then pick up stakes and move elsewhere. She is not a New Yorker and she has no ties to New York State.
Hi, Bobbie, Nice to meet a sort-of neighbor!

Denise, I second your prediction. I would like to see a woman become President but definitely not Hillary and before the guys start breaking them on us. Just think about this guys, we can't do any worse then your gender has done. ;D

I always wondered if women had been running things, would ICBMs have a different shape than they do today?

Hey frank, maybe someday in the near future you'll find that out. Just think about this. Even though I'm not crazy about Hillary she is still making a excellent showing against your gender. Your reign just might be ending in the near future.
