Best wishes back to you, sweetie. We were thinking alike and both of us started a new topic, but that's ok cause Moms do deserve the double praise. "HAPPY MOM'S DAY TO ALL!" ENJOY! ;D

Happy Mother's Day to all our special "Mommy" members out there! Mom's are very special people, and today is the day to honor their special efforts, which are so many times taken for granted the rest of the year. A couple years ago on Mother's Day, I wrote a short story for Dave's "More Stories" site. It is listed under my journal, "Along the Banks of Beaver Creek" and is titled "Special Angel". It is a tribute that I wrote in honor and reflection of my own mother after her passing. It can be found at www.windsweptpress.com/morstor.htmMothers are very special angels, commissioned by God to perform the miracles that only a mother can perform. God bless ALL of you moms and I hope that this day is made very special for you all. While my own mom has passed on, she STILL influences my life, and her principles are still firmly implanted in my mind at the age of 62. Although she is no longer here on earth, she is still my "special angel" and in my thoughts often.

I know a few mothers. Frankly, how much you like them depends upon your age. If you're a little guy or girl, mothers are usually pretty nice. As you get older, they can be a pain in the butt. Like when you're ten years old and she won't let you ride your bike from Cornhill to Sauquoit or allow you to establish a chemical set laboratory in the bathroom or wear your favorite shirt a fourth day in a row or keep your fishing worms in the refrigerator. Then ... they want to teach you how to dance. Then they get mad when you don't come home from the dance on time and your date was the boy most likely to be indicted as a minor felon. Or your girlfriend, who is pretty well endowed at age 16, always comes to church bra-less. Wearing her Ipod and Bluetooth, and not much else. Sometimes mothers don't understand certain things.
And now, I have another mother in my midst. She's some lady and she's also a grandmother. They're the worst kind, I can tell you. All that attention I used to get? Between the dog and the grandchildren, there is maybe about 10 minutes a week left to pamper me. It's true I'm always in the cellar on the radio or computer anyway, but I just know she's up there not thinking of me.
So anyway, my mom is dead. Just goes to show you how much you can depend on them. But she was a nice lady and I loved her. Also, if I didn't mention it, she was the best mother anyone ever had. Aside from Mrs. Dave, who isn't actually my mother .... most of the time.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU UNAPPRECIATED MOTHERS OUT THERE!! FROM YOUR UNGRATEFUL KIDS.

Happy Late Mother's day to all you mom's out there. I was really busy yesterday taking all the parents out for brunch, and dinner. My daughter made my gifts, which are the best gifts that any mom can receive.

For some reason, all I see in ralph's post is the brackets and "image" thing, no image.

For some reason, all I see in ralph's post is the brackets and "image" thing, no image. You don't see that pretty bouquet of flowers and hearts ;D ;D ;D That's probably cause Ralph is not using a host site and just posting form the Internet or his own PC (right click on the X and select properties and copy the url...then paste it into your browser and you'll see what he's up to) ;D

Gee Ralph? Isn't it time you start thinking of upgrading that 20Mbyte Seagate hard drive?

20mb? did they even have that size? I know that my parents' first pc was an apple and it only had 56k and required 5 startup disks to get the damn thing running in the first place because it only had 56k on the hard drive.
