Clipper, I know you're back over in the eastern part of the state, but is all OK with you there? Storms Wreak Havoc in U.S. MURFREESBORO, Tennessee --Search teams fanned out across the central Tennessee city of Murfreesboro Friday, looking for anyone trapped in rubble by a savage line of storms that wrecked buildings, killed a mother and her baby and injured dozens of others. Clyde Atkinson, spokesman for the Murfreesboro Police Department, said he believes there were three to five tornado touchdowns mostly in the northern and western parts of the city of about 100,000. online.wsj.com/article/SB123944351522311051.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

Dave, don't worry about Clipper. He'll be just fine. Even a storm won't mess with a "former" New Yorker. ;D ps: I'll take the snow any day.

We are fine Dave. We had severe thunderstorm warnings, and some heavy isolated showers and moderate wind. No damage here.
My sister and brother in-law however, were right in the middle of it all. They went to Murfreesboro to see my nephew, who is enrolled in college there. Conditions worsened as they drove, and the severe thunderstorm warnings became tornado warnings, and just as they arrived in Murfreesboro, the twister touched down. (Actually they think there were two funnels). They were safe at my nephews apartment, but they worried about their car parked in the parking lot. Thank goodness the storm touched down several blocks from them.
I would not want to live there. We were caught in a tornado watch and warning situation just two weeks ago in the same area. We were only about 15 miles from Murfreesboro when we were racing back to the hotel to seek shelter from oncoming storms. That storm system blew all the glass out of a strip mall, and took off roofs. It is very eery when the tornado sirens are blowing all around you, and you are caught out on an interstate, trying to get to a safe place.
We are in a relatively safe place in NE Tennessee. We are in, and surrounded by mountains. The mountains seem to break up any rotation that tries to develop.

Yes, I remember you were on the bowling trip. I'd stay away from Murfreesboro. It's as dangerous as West Utica, when the tornado is resident there and not at her beach house.

lol!!!!!!!!! Dave, that's funny but funnier is that you're the second person in two days referring me to a storm. At a meeting the other night my councilman called me "the eye of the storm." Oh my, can't imagine why people have that image of me. ;D

Post-it notes Bobbbiez. Put little yellow sticky things all over your house. Then you will remember where everything is, haha. Ah crap. I can't remember where I put the post-it notes pad. LOL.
Actually we are not coloring eggs this year. Kathy boiled a dozen today for deviled eggs tomorrow. As far as hiding them is concerned, I guess they might get hidden behind the ham and the gallon of milk in the refrigerator, but we will find them before dinner time tomorrow.

Lucky you! I spent the whole day yesterday, cooking, coloring and decorating five dozens eggs and it's all my Aunt's fault. She started the decorating tradition long before I was born and she made me continue it to my generalization, my kid's and now my grand kids. My Aunt is an Ukrainian and with them decorating eggs is an art and they spend days decorating their Easter eggs. I'm not as good as my Aunt in doing it but I don't do that bad either and my family expects them every year now. Next year gonna pass the tradition to my daughter. I did try this year but they weren't buying the sore foot deal.

My oldest son's kids have outgrown easter eggs, and I am anxiously awaiting the other two sons to bless us with grand kiddies. I don't think my middle son and his wife are in any hurry, and I don't blame them. The youngest son needs to grow up quite a bit, and get his path in life figured out before he thinks about getting married and having kids. I am sure that in time, there will be eggs to color on the day before Easter again.
Happy Easter Sunshine, and Happy Easter to everyone in the Clipper's Corner family!

"HAPPY EASTER" to you to my friend and to the rest of my family here on the forum. Wishing y'all a wonderful day with all of God's blessings to you and yours. Ok, ok, I can't wait any longer and it's all your daughter's fault, Lucy. Gonna have an Easter egg with a little horseradish on it and a slice of Babka with plenty of my butter lamb on it. ;D ps: Clipper, along with my grand kid's, I still make all my kids an Easter basket. Guess I just don't want to let go of their younger years.
