East Dynasty is my SECOND favorite chinese buffet in the area. The King Buffet in West Rome has always been my very favorite. I miss the old Stacy's Buffet that was in the NH Shopping Center years ago. It was a great "all you can eat" place to take a family for Sunday dinner, where everyone would find something that they liked, and everyone came away full to the brim.
Glad you had a great birthday Pete. Have a great day today also.

King Buffet doesn't have the shrimp like East Dynasty does. East Dynasty also has a Mongolian grill which is good for an occasional change.
Happy Birthday Kit and maneenstudio!

Peel and eat shrimp? I haven't been to either place in several years, but peel and eat shrimp are all over the salad bars down here. They must be cheaper and easier to obtain. I am lazy. When it comes to shrimp, I buy them already peeled. It is called "you peel and I will eat" shrimp, LOLOL.
I can remember several years ago when the only "cheap" way to eat all the shrimp cocktail you wanted, in central NY, was to go to either Beck's Grove's seafood buffet, or to drive all the way to Nelson, NY, out on Route 20, for the famous Nelson Hotel's Sunday buffet.
I went there once with my best friend (now deceased) "Big Pete" Unczur. He was like 6'7" and weighed about 350 or better. He peeled and ate over 100 shrimp, LOL. Prime rib was also a part of the Nelson Hotel buffet back then.
Gee, we have wandered quite a ways from the birthday topic haven't we? Imagine that, hahaha!

About time you showed back up for cake. We all have been getting sick of eating your share. After all, you and Kim were the "cake meisters" of the forum before you disappeared, haha. I thought maybe you had gone on a diet!

Yeah, I guess you call them peel-and-eat although they're nicer (fatter) than the ones I remember we got from Arthur Treacher's.

Cool. Do the chinese buffets up there have oysters on the half shell? I always start out with a half dozen ice cold raw oysters on the half shell, with a few drops of hot sauce dribbled on them.
Gee, maybe when I come up this summer, we can go to NH and eat them out of seafood goodies, and leave them with nothing but chicken pork and beef dishes, LOL.
