I have been offered $29K for my truck the last time I had the oil changed at the dealer. That was to buy it outright. I only paid $32K for it in 2015. I see those small utility trailers with a 4x8 bed on marketplace all the time, many times for only 4 or 5 hundred bucks. I have contemplated buying one a couple of times simply because my truck has the short bed. It is a hard decision though. I love my truck but simply don't really have any dire need for a truck anymore and the cost of gas is really becoming a factor. I don't think we will see gasoline back down to a reasonably acceptable price again anytime in the foreseeable future.

Gas has remained between $4.09 and $4.15 in most places although there are stations charging much more than that out by the interstate.
I stopped at the Chrysler Jeep Ram dealer today and priced vehicles. They are loaded up with Jeep Grand Cherokees. 2022 model is between 55K and 59K. Lots of them in stock along with a lot of the Jeep Wrangler models. No new 2022 Pacificas in stock. They had two new 2021 models in stock. One was $36K and the other was fancier and was $54, 250. They have 5 2022 models on order. All hybrid models and all will go for between 55 and 60 thousand. They will not be receiving them until late April or early May.
They did have a few Ram 1500's in stock with the 5.7 Hemi V-8, and ONE with the E-torque 6 cylinder. $51,000 and it was very basic and plain. They are still offering 28 or 29K for my truck but my truck is a much nicer truck than the stripped 2022 six cylinder. I will not pay $51K for a stripped model with painted bumpers and a cheap interior.
I guess I will have to suffer the low mileage and high gas price for now.

I feel sorry for upstate NY farmers who work so hard and reap such a small profit for their milk already. I read that diesel fuel is up to $5.19 average in NY. If it doesn't drop a bit in upcoming weeks it is going to have a devastating impact on farmers trying to plow and plant their crops. I don't know how much corn the DiNittos plant in recent years, but I was told years ago that they used to grow and harvest over 1000 acres of hay and corn for silage.

Yes we must help the farmers soon. Everyone could turn there backyards into hay and corn fields then take the product to the farmers as a way of showing solidarity. I do not know why anyone would want to be a farmers. All they have to do is just go to the grocery stores and buy all the veggies and milk and meats they need.

They won't let you back there because production equipment that makes meat and milk are closely guarded from those who might steal the technology and sell it to the Russians.

Can we raise cattle in our back yards too? Asking for a friend.

I don't know about your area, but I could if I wanted. The neighbor on one side raises about a dozen beef cows every year, and two houses the other way also raises a couple of beef cows. It would cost me alot since I only have 1/2 acre. I would have to buy a lot of good feed and hay. I want to have chickens and build a coop in the back yard but Kathy won't let me. She IS the boss ya know. She gave me a real dirty look when I said "I if ya don't want chickens, I suppose a pig is out of the question." LOL With only 1/2 acre of our 3/4 acre lot that is fit for a pasture of any sort I will not be becoming a cattle baron anytime in the near future. My neighbor was telling me once that you need to figure at least 1 acre per cow at a minimum if you are going to pasture them. Anything less than that you have to supplement their diet with other sources of fee such as baled hay so that the pasture grass has a chance to recuperate and regrow.

According to news reports this morning the price of a barrell of crude has dropped to $90. But passing by a few pumps this morning I see that the cost of gas hasen't dropped a bit. Gee, that's funny. When the cost of a barrell goes up they're johnny on the spot jacking the price in no time flat.
Funny how that works.

Our gas prices haven't changed in about 3 days or so now. Still hovering at $4.09 in most places on the Tennessee side of town. I haven't been to the Virginia side in a few days. They tend to be a bit higher quite often.

Yup crude did drop and gas at the pump really fell fast by 2 cents.
