Now see stern Winter nearer draw, Sol's feeble rays refuse to thaw. What Winter's frost congeal'd; And lo! the flaky snows appear, Proclaim the approach of Christmas near, And deck in white the field. –William Cole (c. 1824)

We are fortunate here with the weather forecast for the coming week. Days are going to be in the mid to high 50s and most nights will not drop below freezing. It is supposed to be almost 60 here on Christmas day.
I see that the forecast for Utica is for above freezing temperatures during the day for most of the week so at least you won't have to deal with frigid temps and major snows through Christmas day. I saw one report forecasting snow squalls on Christmas day but the latest seem to say just cloudy and above freezing.
That is good news for those that plan to be out and about driving on Christmas eve and Christmas day.
