I had forgotten all about that song until now. I just listened to it twice and played it for Kathy. She remembers it also. I can't remember when it was that they played it on the radio during the Christmas season.

I remember this song, and, many others, by Lou Monte. A few doors down from our house on Amy Ave., lived the Amarosa family. Mrs. Amarosas' parents were the Bennetts, who owned Bennetts restaurant, located on the road to Frankfort. When Lou Monte appeared at the restaurant, the Bennetts brought him to the Amarosas' house, to introduce him to their family. I was there at that time, as I was a friend of daughter Roseanne. Lou entertained us, singing "A Baby Cried", and, a few more of his then current hits, accompanying himself on the guitar. A very enjoyable experience that I'll never forget.

Dick, are you by any chance talking about Jim and Jackie Amarosa that used to have the monument place on Oneida St? I spent many hours sipping coffee at their kitchen table, as well as chatting with Granite Man" and "Supergal." on the CB radio prior to Jim's death. I am still in touch with Jackie occasionally.

No, this was Lou and Nana Amarosa with daughter Roseanne and son Frankie. Lou had a tv and radio sales and repair shop on Bleeker St. I saw my first colored tv show there. It was George Burns and Gracie Allen. Maybe the other folks are relatives.
