My goodness. I saw news coverage this morning showing where the winds were high enough to blow down a building in New Jersey, tear off roofs, down trees, and cause massive power outages throughout New England. Are those reports overblown? I don't see anything on the Utica or Syracuse area news indicating that it got too bad. The radar maps on the Today show and on the national weather reports on our local stations are alarming, but Channel 2 and WIBX don't show much concern for any horrific impact.
I hope all is well there, and that the impact is nothing more than that of a typical Nor'easter such as the area routinely endures several times a year.

I think the weather forecasters goofed. We got some heavy rain and it was windy around my area but nothing big.

False alarm. I thought they were predicting 7 inches. I just saw a photo on facebook of the Mohawk Rest Area on the Thruway and there was a semi with water up almost to the top of his fuel tanks. They must have got much more rain to the South and East of you guys.
