www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2019/10/15/felicity-huffman-prison-college-admissions-scandal/3986448002/I was just watching a report on NBC showing "poor Felicity", the resort prison where she will do her time, and a description of all the "horrible living conditions" that she will have to endure for the duration of her fourteen-day sentence. If it were not so sad it would be humorous. What a joke and what a glaring example of class discrimination in sentencing. The poor woman will have to endure 14 whole days without 5-star restaurants, she will miss her hair appointment, will miss her manicure appointment, and might even have to clean her own toilet. How very traumatic it must be for her to be plucked from the lifestyle of the rich and famous, to be confined at a prison that "caters" to the rich and famous. The average middle-class American would have been sentenced to months or years rather than days and would be serving it in either a crowded county jail somewhere or in a prison with walls, guard towers, and razor wire. It will be interesting to see how severe the sentences are for those that ACCEPTED the bribes. In my mind, their sentence should be more severe than the parents that paid for their favors. Without the corrupt individuals at the colleges, the crimes could not have been committed.
