I had never heard of chocolate gravy until we moved here. A short time ago a friend was telling us that as a child chocolate gravy over biscuits was a special Sunday morning treat in their house. I haven't tried it. I am not that big of a chocolate fan, but for kids growing up in appalachia I am sure that it was an inexpensive treat to make.
