Restaurant: Closing Outback Steakhouse in New Hartford was ‘a business decision’
After 15 years, the Outback Steakhouse in New Hartford is closing.
The 8655 Clinton St. location at The Orchard will have its last day of business Sunday, said Elizabeth Watts, director of media and community relations for Bloomin’ Brands Inc. It opened in June 2004, according to O-D archives.
“Closing a restaurant is never easy. It was a business decision and has no reflection on the restaurant employees,” Watts said in a statement. “We enjoyed being part of the community and appreciate its support the past 15 years.”
All affected employees will receive a severance package, according to the restaurant.
