Golden Corral is very popular here in the South. Just about every town or city of any size has a Golden Corral restaurant. We love it. It is about the freshest and highest quality family style buffet that I have encountered since the Stacy's buffet in the New Hartford Shopping Center closed. Their selection is wide and plentiful, and the food is always fresh. The salad bar is contains a wide array for fresh ingredients, and the hot food is always fresh and kept hot.
They have great fish, butterflied shrimp, fried chicken, and a wide array of meat choices including sirloin steak that is acceptable. There is a selection of BBQ foods, taco ingredients, as well as the run of the mill pot roast, meat loaf, and ham. My personal favorites include the best brussels sprouts I have ever eaten, steamed broccoli, baked fish, and the butterflied jumbo shrimp. They also serve hot rolls with honey butter.
There is a breakfast buffet on weekends, and it is a great choice for a weeknight supper or a Sunday outing after church. You won't be disappointed. We go a couple of times a month for the reduced price afternoon Senior special, between 2pm and 4pm.
