Jeanine Pirro was stopped by a trooper just west of Binghamton for doing 119 in a 65 mph zone. She stated that she didn't realize she was going that fast. Really? I have gone over 100 mph in an automobile only twice in my life and definitely realized that I was doing well over the speed limit. When I was in my twenties I rode in a friend's Studebaker Avante and we did 160 mph for a brief period on the long straight stretch of Rt 8 between Poland and Utica. The only other time I went that fast was while I was in the Navy. I was driving from Miami back to Key West in the middle of the night, returning to base after a weekend of fun in the sun. I had a 66 Chevelle with a 396 cubic inch engine, and I kicked it up to 120 mph while crossing the 7 mile bridge at Bahia Honda Florida. I have found myself doing 75 in a 65. I have even had the speedometer creep up to 80 a few times when the speed limit was 70, but there is no possible way a person could be going over 100 mph and not realize that they were going way too fast. All I can say is that it is HER story, but I doubt that a judge is going to believe that she was simply cruising along, unaware that her speed had reached such a high point. www.wktv.com/content/news/NY-police-Fox-News-host-Jeanine-Pirro-clocked-at-119-mph-458889243.html

Didn't know??? BWAHAHAHA!!! Though I have been up there at times, I certainly knew how fast I was going. Route 8 between Poland and Utica has always been a good spot. The smoothest ride I ever had that fast was in the limo we drove back from LA. It virtually floated on the road, and on the interstate outside of Las Vegas, it was a dream. At 95+ MPH it was like coasting on the road, but damn skippy I knew how fast I was going!!!

Many years ago I was clocked on the Thruway at 95mph. I was asked if I knew how fast I was going and I said of course and I bet you do to. He laughed and I got a speeding ticket. Thank God I knew someone and the Judge gave me something about parking illegally on a ramp.
Two week later I was stopped by the same trooper on the Thruway. Now what is the chance of that. He said to me do you know how fast your were going. I said you ask that question a lot. He laughed and I got a warning about driving too slow. I think I was at 30 mph. I liked to switch lanes and then slow way down. It's a gas but people always pass me illegally on the right and wave a middle finger. I remember a few that were stopped for that.
