Wow Chris, that IS cool. I have always pulled the small bone out of the wing, but I never tried, nor knew it was possible to simply pull the other bone out for a completely boneless wing, haha. That is great, and you can bet your hiney that I will be trying it at my earliest opportunity.

Wish I was in NY so I could try it TONIGHT without having to make the wings myself. LOL. Wings here suck. Some places even bread them and then soak them with hotsauce.

Just like the pizza here. Pizza hut advertises wings, and they are the best around town. THAT is sad. haha.

:) Sounds like Constable, NY. You don't have to live out of state to wish for all the good foods we have here in Utica. 8-)

Constable's best Italian place is Pizza Hut to. :P :P :P
They never heard of Chicken Riggies or tomato pie. When I brought some back on my trips home they thought it had to be warmed up like pizza. ::)

Come to think of it, most in Syracuse never had tomato pie and they aren't that far from Utica. If I was younger I would open up a place both in Constable and Syracuse where I would sell tomato pie and probably would make a killing. ;D

I am hoping that when I die I will find out that heaven has a food court with all the favorites, Patio chili dogs, half moons, cinnamon donuts from Holland Farms, O"Scuinizzo's pizza, Knight Spot fish fries, and Anchor Inn perogi's and galumpki's.

Oh my God. It sounds like Heaven would be a lot like UTICA NY! :o :o Hopefully without the taxes and the politics, haha.

In Syracuse you can get tomato pie at Gedde's (?) on rte. 11, about 2 miles north of sweatheart corners. It's a bit wetter than Utica style (more sauce) but VERY GOOD !!!. They also have all the nice Italian cookies and bread !!! A small piece of heaven for sure !!!

:) Yeah James, I was very surprised that Syracuse offers very little in that line of foods. ???

My daughter-in-law lived in Syracuse all her life, and comes from a hugh Italian family, and they never had tomato pie. The first time I brought it for them to try they were putting it in the oven to warm up. ::)

When they come to Utica they're in their glories with all the great Italian foods and pastries here. :-*

The next time I'm out that way I'll try Gedde's tomato pie. Thanks for mentioning it. ;)

The first time I had tomatoe pie was from Devitos Bakery...maybe it was just an E Uitca thing initially...ya thiink. Wonder who started it first. It definitely has to be a Utica thing like riggies.

And in regards to the wings. This weekend I was all set to try out the wing thing and what happens out of all the wings I got all were drumbsticks except for one. (an it was tasty with no bone in it) Now if we wanted drumbsticks only what would be the chances of getting a good %.

:) I think you're speaking of Barady's which burned down years ago and the owners never reopened. Was a great Lebanese bakery/deli. :-*

There is another Barady's Deli that opened up recently on Genesee St near the Bank of Utica. Don't know if it's a member of the same family but their stuff is very good.
My daughter brought me over some hummus last week from there and it was delicious. Actually liked it better then Karam's hummus. You might want to try their stuff. Don't think you'll go wrong. ;)

Barady's had good kibbee too. I only bought it a couple of times, and it was not something that I would eat every day, but it was good for a little something different on occasion.

I used to go there for the pita bread before it was so popular as to be available in all the grocery stores, and simply bought Kibbee on one of those visits and made a pita sandwich with it. Probably a sin in Lebanese culture, but damn sure was good, haha.
